Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Treadmilly collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the app. By using Treadmilly, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Definitions

"Application" means Treadmilly. "Company", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Louis Cresci and Jan Staszewicz, the owners of Treadmilly. "Account" means a unique account used to access parts of the app. "Personal Data" means information relating to an identified or identifiable person. "Service Providers" means third-party services that process data for the app.

Account Data We Collect

When you create or use an account, Supabase Auth may process your email address, authentication identifiers, login/session information, and security metadata needed to sign you in, protect your account, and operate account-based features.

Workout Data We Collect

Treadmilly may collect and store workout titles, workout start and end times, duration, treadmill speed, treadmill grade, speed and grade change events, pause/resume/finish events, distance, vertical distance or elevation gain, estimated calories, average heart rate when available, Apple Health workout identifiers, and sync status.

Apple Health and Sensor Data

If you enable Apple Health access, Treadmilly may read supported heart-rate information during workouts and may write completed treadmill workouts to Apple Health. Apple Health permissions are controlled by iOS and can be changed in the Health app or iOS Settings. Treadmilly does not access Apple Health data without the permissions you grant.

Payment and Subscription Data

Purchases are processed by the App Store. RevenueCat is used to manage subscription entitlement status, such as whether your account has an active Pro plan. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

Usage and Diagnostic Data

The app and our Service Providers may process technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, identifiers necessary for authentication or subscriptions, logs, error information, and other diagnostic data needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.

How We Use Data

We use data to provide and maintain Treadmilly, manage your account, save and sync workouts, restore workout history, calculate and display workout metrics, manage subscription access, troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, respond to requests, support data export and account deletion, and comply with legal obligations.

Service Providers

We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management, Apple services for App Store purchases and Apple Health integration, and local device storage for app settings and unsynced workout data. These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Sharing and Disclosure

We may share information with Service Providers that help operate the app, if required by law or valid legal request, to protect the rights, safety, or security of users or the app, with your consent, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets.

Retention

We retain Personal Data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the app, maintaining account and workout history, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting legal obligations, and maintaining security. Synced workout data is intended to be deleted when account deletion is completed, subject to legal, security, payment, and backup retention requirements.

Transfer of Data

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our Service Providers operate. Data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled securely and according to this Privacy Policy.

Security

We care about protecting your information, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We rely on commercially reasonable safeguards and our Service Providers' security practices, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Choices and Rights

You can choose not to enable Apple Health, can manage Apple Health permissions in iOS, can manage subscriptions through your Apple ID, and can sign out of the app. We are adding in-app tools to let you download your data and request deletion of your account and synced workout data.

Children's Privacy

Treadmilly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be shown in the app by changing the "Last updated" date. You should review this policy periodically.
